You are looking for Viewfinder, the 2023 first-person puzzle game by Sad Owl Studios and Thunderful.

The recognition points, taken from the store description and the Wikipedia gameplay summary: you pick up a photograph, a painting, a sketch, a postcard, or a screenshot, and you place it in the room. The image becomes real geometry. A painted bridge holds your weight. A hole in the photo is a hole in the floor. Each room ends at a teleporter, often powered by batteries, a timer, or a sound sensor. Partway through you receive an instant camera, a photocopier shows up early, and a filter machine eventually offers 21 looks. The hubs are white and overgrown, then colder and more laboratory-like.

Three games get mixed up with that description. Superliminal is first-person too, but the trick is forced perspective: size depends on where you stand, and you are not placing a photograph. Maquette is recursive scale, a model that contains the world, not a camera. Gorogoa is pictures, but they are hand-drawn panels on a flat board, not a 3D room you walk through. If the memory includes a cat-shaped guide and a seedling at the end, that is Viewfinder’s story, not those three. Neighbours that merely feel similar are listed on games like Viewfinder.

It is not a free browser game and it is not a phone APK. Stores that sell it are on the platform page. The first public release was 18 July 2023 on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
