Viewfinder on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo’s US page lists 3 December 2025, $24.99, and a 3.7 GB download. One review says the shop showed 4 December. I keep both dates.

The eShop listing adds touch controls, twelve languages, and a note that the game runs on Switch 2 with behaviour consistent with Nintendo Switch. I did not find a separate Switch 2 SKU or a Switch 2-only patch. Nintendo’s 3.7 GB file size and Steam’s 20 GB available-space requirement measure different things; they do not establish texture quality or resolution.

Frame rate: Nintendo World Report says the game only runs at 30 frames per second and can fall below that when several photographs are linked, with photos failing to load and audio dropping out, including on Switch 2. A Spanish review played on Switch 2 describes smaller frame-time issues, settings that did not stick between sessions, and one crash, and calls the visuals worse than the earlier consoles without calling the port unplayable. Resolution is the weaker cell. A community database says 720p docked and handheld. Nintendo World Report confirms 30 fps and does not state 720p. I label 720p as community-reported, one source, and I do not promote it to an official spec. Sad Owl and Nintendo have not published a frame-rate sheet that I could find.

If 30 frames is a deal-breaker, the PC and Xbox pages are the other readings: Xbox’s store text says 4K and 60 fps or higher, and Steam Deck is verified. Those claims live on the Steam page and the platform table, not as a promise about Switch. The buy link is Nintendo’s product page.
