Viewfinder Chapter 3 Level 6.1

Level 6.1 is optional. The stairs are an optical illusion, and the real route drops into a red-brick corridor. It is not a main-path Level 5.

IGN files 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3 under optional levels. intoindiegames and a Japanese chapter guide list the same trio. A patch note mentions “Chapter 3, Level 6.3”, which is the strongest public evidence that 6.x is the in-game index. GamesRadar’s page calls this corridor “Level 5-1”. I will not publish both numbers as two rooms. If a video title says 5-1 and the footage is red brick and impossible stairs, it is this page.

Hint 1

The stairs are an illusion; inspect the route from another direction.

Hint 2

A drop leads toward the red-brick corridor rather than up the apparent stairs.

The corridor route

Walk into the hall on the right. The stairs change shape because they are not a real flight. Go back into the hall, turn right, and follow that path. Try the stairs anyway, drop into the lower level, cross the red-brick corridor, and take the opening to the right of the teleporter fence. The Japanese guide describes the same beat: stairs that are not real, then the brick corridor. intoindiegames describes that route too. There is no second solution I need to keep in parallel.

Nothing in the Steam collectible map puts a mahjong tile here. The seven tiles are all on main levels, listed on the tile page. This room also does not unlock one of the named filters the way Mirren’s optional levels do. 6.2 is the pillar-garden secret path and 6.3 is the battery-and-camera illusion; both are indexed on the chapter page. “Chi Leung 7” is still not a level.

Questions

Is 6.1 required to finish the story?

No. It is optional. The story continues without the 6.x rooms.

Why does another site say 5-1?

That site’s chapter index is shifted. The in-game number used here is 6.1.
