Viewfinder Chapter 4 Level 4.1
Level 4.1 is optional. It is the second optional challenge. There is no planet here. Clearing it unlocks the Rainbow filter.
IGN, intoindiegames, and the Steam guide all mark 4.1 optional and pair it with the Rainbow filter. GamesRadar calls the same gap “optional challenge 1” and uses “optional challenge 2” for what this site calls 5.1, the Earth photocopy room. I print both nicknames and keep the in-game number in the heading. Do not walk in expecting Venus; Venus was on 3.1.
Hint 1
A photograph of a broken path can supply the missing walking surfaces.
Hint 2
Try offsetting the pictured platforms against the real ones rather than placing them directly on top.
Two written ways across the gap
The shared fact is a path full of holes. A photograph of that path becomes a surface you can walk. IGN says to photograph the platforms ahead and place the photo so its platforms wedge between the real ones. intoindiegames says to treat the photo as a parallel path and zig-zag jump between the picture and the real floor until the teleporter is in reach. I am not going to collapse those into one sequence. They are two written methods for the same gap. Try the wedge first if you want the shorter description; use the zig-zag if the wedge clips into violet material you cannot overwrite.
Chapter 1 also has a level numbered 4.1, and so does Chapter 2. Those are different stations. This page is only Mirren’s 4.1. The next optional room with its own planet is 5.1 (Earth). 8.1 is Mercury and 9.1 is the watermelon scale. Find those rooms in the chapter table and the optional index.

Questions
Is this the first or the second optional challenge?
Second, if you follow the in-game 3.1 then 4.1 order. GamesRadar’s “optional challenge 1” label points here instead.
Which filter does it unlock?
Rainbow, according to the Steam 100% guide.
